Do Work, Son - Part 4

But what about Part 3 ? Sandy, happy maniacs at the Del Mar dog beach We woke up on Friday to a slightly different plan than the rest of our week at San Mateo Campground . Look at that sunrise! While I still had to work (UoPX used to give us a half day on Good Friday, but they changed that a few years back to give us 8 full hours of a floating holiday to use whenever we wanted), Chris was off; after cooking bacon and cinnamon rolls for breakfast, he hopped in the truck with the girls, and they caravanned with Jen, Bryan, and their puppers south to Del Mar dog beach.  While we already knew Zoe was a great swimmer, she'd never been to a off-leash beach before, and this was Bea's first time near water at all (as far as we knew).  According to Chris, they had fun overall, but it was exhausting for everyone. Do Work, Son - Part 3

Our second work day at San Mateo Campground started out the same as the first, waking up early, strolling the girls around the grounds (scaring bunnies and squirrels the whole way), and making coffee/tea before logging on to our computers (this quickly became our daily routine, so unless I mention something else, assume this happened each weekday).  On Tuesday at lunchtime, I used my 87 pound (not really, but that's what Chris calls it) cruiser bike to do a few laps around the campground for some fitness; I'm still working on building up my glute muscles before I can start running again, and although the bike is moderately inconvenient to travel with, it worked well for this purpose.  After another round of showers in the bathhouse, it was back to the computers.  Since the weather this day was sunny and calm, we experimented with working outside a bit to moder
